What is SANe?
Think of SANe as a meta- network, an adhocracy, for people, organisations and other networks that are working in the field of arts and social action. The only requirement for joining SANe is that you have an interest in the arts as a means for raising awareness: a way of groping towards a collective super-ego or social mind.

Visit the SANe bookstore for a great range of books on socially inclusive arts. A percentage of any book sale made through SANe is donated to Escape Artists (UK registered charity no. 1086004) and helps to pay for the costs of managing this network.

Great to hear that you are interested, I am working on behalf of Escape Artists (whose offices are based in East London) and this is where the event will be held. Escape artists mainly work with at risk groups such as offenders and young offenders, in prisions and such like. The SANe Training Faire is an event that gives you a chance to meet those on the SANe network, see what their comapnies and practioners have to offer or what you have to offer them. The provisional date for this event is 23rd july.

The network is managed by Escape Artists and is open to everyone. Next step, simply invite any friends you may know of in the arts and any others that may have a participatory interest to join your arts network.
The Social Arts Network uses and is built on a platform similar to other well-known social networks, such as MySpace, Facebook and YouTube. The Network supports both still images and video and has been developed to scale easily to support actively extensive global growth of the network.
Please feel free to share your artistic talent by uploading your photos, videos, music and research papers; and/or also start your own forum or group.
